Cladding Remeditation – Birkenhead Estate, King’s Cross
London Borough of Camden
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” — Margaret Wolfe (1878)
Pavehall Group is pleased to confirm the commencement of major cladding remediation works at the Birkenhead Estate, following successful Gateway 2 Approval by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
This safety-led project is being delivered on behalf of the London Borough of Camden across four occupied residential tower blocks: Riverside, Riverfleet, Fleetway, and Fleetfield. All buildings are designated High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) under the Building Safety Act 2022, and Gateway 2 approval confirms full design compliance with the new regulatory framework.
Scope of Works
The project is being delivered under a JCT Design & Build contract, ensuring an integrated approach from design through to construction.
As a CIOB Chartered Building Company and an RICS Regulated Firm, Pavehall Group maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Delivering works on a densely populated, occupied estate requires careful planning, strong resident engagement, and exceptional site management to ensure safe delivery with minimal disruption.
We thank the London Borough of Camden, the professional team, and our specialist supply chain for their continued collaboration as we move into the construction phase, delivering meaningful improvements in building safety and resident confidence.
